All Sorts of Marketing Material

If you don't have a way to design your social media content, flyers, postcards or any other types of marketing items try Canva. They have a FREE version that will allow you to accomplish quite a bit, but the PRO version opens up more templates and various items that do come in handy. 

If you don't have much experience with graphic design, not to worry, they have a design school with plenty of videos.

VA Portal

We have gained approval through VA to work directly through VA's portal accessible by https://lgy.va.gov/lgyhub/.

To register following the following instructions:

  1. Locate and click the 'sign in or register for a new account' link towards the top right hand side of the page.
  2. Choose the ID.me option to sign in. If you don't already have a profile for ID.me, you will be required to create one. Follow the instructions for ID.me.
  3. Enter your credentials when prompted
  4. The system will send you a code via text which you will have to enter for access. 
  5. Once you have gained access you will have to select Lender from the list of options. 
  6. Enter our Lender ID 9057210000
  7. For the PIN enter Bog4XycT
  8. After you have clicked Submit, our staff will then validate it on our end. Once validated you will have full access to the portal.

Floify

Floify is a Point of Sale (POS) system that helps us a company and individual loan originators automate frustrating and redundant tasks so we can save time, increase customer satisfaction, and provide a modern, mobile-optimized mortgage experience for our borrowers. As a company, it allows processing of your files more efficient and allows our processors to request items on your behalf so that you can free yourself to concentrate on generating business.

Lending PAD (LOS)

We use Lending Pad which allows user to access their files from anywhere with a internet connection. User Seats are created internally, upon enrollment you will be set up accordingly. 

If you are having issues with Lending PAD refer to the Support link in the application. You can also chat with their technical support.

Advice Presentation - I urge every loan officer to use mortgagecoach.com. Using these loan analysis will stop and prevent your customers from rate shopping. It creates credibility and it gives you the image of a professional adviser. Send each and everyone of your client's a Mortgage Edge report whenever you're presenting figures. They will feel confident knowing that they are fully aware of their options and that they chose the best loan officer (you) to represent them.

Video messaging - allows you to create quick short videos to send to clients and partners. Videos tend to have a higher open rate than standard emails.

Loan Processing

We offer FREE processing in-house. Meghan Svoboda is handling all aspects of the processing flow and will utilize all tools disposable to ensure that you stay focused on building your business. 

Floify

Your Floify account will be utilized to request any necessary documents from your client(s). The request will look like you are the one requesting it, so it's important to keep an eye on the emails/notifications that come from the system to ensure that if you get a correspondence from your client that you know what is being asked for. 

Ensure that you are making a touch every time a major milestone is reached. Again, your Floify will be used to send out updates to everyone involved. If there is an update that you don't want to send or don't want to send to a certain party(s) please let our processing team know right away. If any updates were not triggered on time and 1 to 2 days have passed, that update will be triggered but without emails and text being sent out. This means that it'll be accurate if your client or partner logs into the system to check status but they won't receive any notifications about it.

Self-Processing

We strongly urge you against self-processing as it takes valuble time away from your main goal as a loan officer which is building your business and freeing up your time to spend where it's important (family, friends, partners, clients, etc...). 

We allow seasoned loan officers to process their own files. We ask that you ensure to follow thoroughness when working with our approved lenders. We strive to maintain top tier status with them which earns us faster turn-times and better pricing. This is done by limiting the amount of file touches by the underwriter, lock pull through, and other factors that each lender considers important. 

Please speak with each lender's rep to get acquainted with their process before beginning your processing journey. Most reps will train you how to use their system on your first and even second file submitted with them.

Note: Our lead loan processor will not be available to help train you as they are focused on files that they have in their pipeline.  

 

Charging the Client

Because these processors are not employees of our company you may charge their fee to the client. You may also split the fee with your client if you need to (for example, $495 charged to your client and the remainder balance of $500 will be paid by you).  Always ensure that you disclose it in the initial LE to avoid having to pay the entire fee yourself.

Marketing Material Guidelines

Please follow the following guidelines when preparing your marketing items

  • Portraits | Headshots - Must be professionally taken or have the appearance that they were. No selfies please or cropped images
  • Emails listed should be from a private server not a public service such as Yahoo or Gmail. We recommend using the company provided email address
  • APR must be listed when quoting an interest rate
  • Do NOT use symbols, images, and abbreviations suggesting that we are affiliated with a government agency
  • Company logo must be provided
  • Company address must be provided
  • DRE and NMLS license must be provided for consumers to look up
  • If quoting a certain payment or/and closing cost amount, the scenario of how you came up with those figures must be provided
  • Provide ARM specifics when quoting a variable interest rate
  • Do NOT use terms guaranteeing approval
  • Do NOT use steering verbiage
